There are many causes for poverty but the main ones are - population growth, lack of employment.

If observed, population growth is the main reason. Many issues are connected with it. If the population is low then unemployment will be less and more people will have employment.

Governments need to work with the public to reduce poverty. Governments need to do things that will provide employment to as many people as possible and meet their basic needs. At the same time, people should help the poor around them.
