Kroger Delivery : 5 Things to Know before your First Order :-

1) Kroger Delivery

Kroger Delivery makes grocery shopping easy by allowing you to order online and have your items delivered straight to your door. Delivery fees usually range from $6.95 to $14.95, but the exact cost may depend on your location and the delivery time you select.

After you place your order, a Kroger team member or a shopper from a partner service will carefully gather your items. They’ll let you know if anything is out of stock or if substitutions are needed. Your groceries will then arrive during the time slot you choose. If you prefer, many Kroger locations also offer the option to pick up your order instead of having it delivered.

To find out if Kroger Delivery is available near you, simply visit Kroger.com and enter your ZIP code.

2) How to Place Order :

When you're ready to place your Kroger delivery order, enter your payment details and confirm your delivery time and contact information. You can also choose to receive text updates about your order.

In the "Order Summary" section, you'll see the total cost, including the item subtotal, delivery fee, and a default 5% tip. You can adjust the tip by clicking "Change Tip Amount." Tips are optional for third-party shoppers, but Kroger associates do not accept tips.

After checking that all details are correct, add your credit or debit card information in the "Payment Option" section and click "Submit Order."

If needed, you can make changes to your order up until your shopper begins picking your items. This makes Kroger Delivery flexible and convenient for your grocery needs.

3) Select your preferences and delivery time :

After selecting all the items you want to buy, click on your shopping cart to begin checkout. Take a moment to review your list and make any changes as needed. You’ll find an option to manage substitution preferences for out-of-stock items.

If you allow substitutions, your shopper will pick the closest alternative. If you choose not to allow substitutions, the item will be skipped, and your total will be adjusted accordingly.

Once your preferences are set and your order is correct, click on “Check Out Delivery Items.” This will take you to a page where you can select your delivery time and view details about your order. Deliveries may be handled directly by Kroger or through a third-party service like Instacart or Shipt.

When selecting a delivery time, you’ll have flexible options. You can schedule your delivery for the same day, within two or five hours, or pick a two-hour window later in the day. Deliveries can also be scheduled up to five days in advance. After choosing your preferred time slot, click “Accept & Continue” to finalise the process.

In my experience, my order was handled by Instacart, and I scheduled delivery for the same day within two hours, which was quick and convenient.

4) Enter your location :

Sign in to your Kroger account and enter the ZIP code or address for delivery. On the website, you can adjust your shopping method or delivery address near the search bar. In the app, use the banner at the bottom of the screen.

Once your address is entered, Kroger will direct you to the nearest delivery location. You can start adding items to your cart by browsing categories or searching the site. To save money, check the weekly ad, digital coupons, and top savings offers. If your Plus Card is linked, you’ll see frequently bought items under “Start My Cart.”

Before clicking “Add to Cart,” confirm that items are available for delivery. Avoid clicking the smaller plus sign, as this adds items to your shopping list instead of your cart. Follow these steps to make shopping easy and efficient.

5) Contactless delivery :

Kroger provides contactless delivery for added convenience and safety. Your groceries will be left at your doorstep or a designated spot, ensuring minimal interaction. During checkout, you can provide specific instructions for the drop-off location to ensure it’s secure and accessible. Once delivered, you’ll receive a notification confirming the completion of your order. Make sure someone is available to retrieve the groceries promptly to maintain their freshness, especially for perishable or temperature-sensitive items. This service is ideal for no-contact convenience.
