Few Lines on Tabla :-

1) Tabla is one of the famous Instrument of India. 

2) Tabla is most commonly used in North Indian classic music. 

3) The Instrument has two different drums of different size and shapes. 

4) The drums are treble and bass drum. 

5) Tabla is played hitting the fingers on the drum head and sliding the palm to create a modulating sound. 

6) The two drums are called bayan ( left ) and dayan ( Right ). 

Zakir Hussain is one of the most prominent Tabla player. Zakir Hussain was awarded the Padma Shri in 1988 and the Padma Bhushan in 2002. Zakir Hussain received many awards as a team player.
